About the US Tango Foundation
Our Mission
We are committed to making tango accessible to everyone by offering a variety of programs, events, and educational initiatives that promote community engagement. Through these efforts, we strive to harness the transformative power of tango as a catalyst for unity, empathy, and well-being, while fostering dialogue, celebrating diversity, and contributing to a more inclusive and harmonious society.

Moreover, its rich history and heritage provide a unique platform for celebrating diversity and bridging communities. At the US Tango Foundation, we believe in the transformative power of tango to bring people together, promote well-being, and create positive change in our society.
Our Programs
Tango, being a partner dance, emphasizes non-verbal communication, which helps build connections regardless of verbal abilities. Therefore, we provide a range of programs with flexible formats, offering both on-site and virtual sessions. These include tango classes, workshops, seminars, and community events. Our programs are tailored to individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and health conditions or impairments.
Our approach is to promote wellness and inclusion, where everyone feels appreciated and embraced.
Our Impact
Although a newly established non-profit organization, the US Tango Foundation was created by tango professionals with over fifteen years of experience teaching and organizing community based events in the Miami area.
During this period, tango classes and events have been a platform for self-expression and connection, resulting in noticeable improvements in the well-being of participants.

Beyond our core offerings, the US Tango Foundation is dedicated to extending the benefits of tango to a broader community, providing opportunities for self-discovery, rehabilitation, and social interaction to diverse settings. Additionally, we strive to make our events affordable and accessible to everyone, ensuring that tango can be enjoyed by people from all walks of life.

Empowering Women Through Tango
Sofi and Lore, the passionate founders of the US Tango Foundation, have dedicated most of their lives to sharing their love for tango with the world. Their mission is to make this beautiful art form accessible to everyone, regardless of background or experience, while also promoting the empowerment of women within the tango community. A key part of their work is the Tango Femme program, which focuses on creating spaces where women can express themselves freely in tango, challenge traditional gender roles, and build confidence on and off the dance floor.
They strive to create inclusive spaces where tango can be a source of connection, well-being, and transformation.
