The Twin Lakes Elementary After-School Tango Program is the first of its kind in Florida, providing first and second-grade students with a unique opportunity to explore tango as a tool for social and emotional development. Designed for children from underserved and immigrant communities, this program builds confidence, teamwork, and communication skills through movement and music. By introducing tango at an early age, students develop a sense of connection, cooperation, and cultural appreciation.
Funded by community support, this initiative creates a safe and engaging space where children can express themselves, learn respect and cooperation, and grow beyond the dance floor.
