In 2007, a dance floor in Miami witnessed the serendipitous meeting of Sofia and Lorena, two young women whose shared love for tango ignited a flame that would eventually give birth to the US Tango Foundation. Their partnership went beyond the enchanting steps of the dance; it marked the beginning of a collaborative journey to build vibrant tango communities across borders.

Dancing through the years, Sofia and Lorena's connection deepened, not just in the dance but in shared aspirations, recognizing the universal appeal of dance as a means of expression and connection. Their vision extended beyond the dance floor – they aimed to make tango a catalyst for community and inclusiveness. Together, they laid the groundwork for the US Tango Foundation, a platform dedicated to spreading the joy of tango and its benefits, embracing minorities, and make it accessible to all individuals, 

Today, the US Tango Foundation has become a hub for tango enthusiasts, fostering a sense of community and connection. Workshops, events, and outreach programs flourished, contributing to the foundation's goal of making tango accessible to all.
