Tango Femme is a dynamic program composed of workshops and guided practices designed to empower women through tango by challenging traditional gender roles in dance. Rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to lead, this program invites women to step confidently into the leader’s role—cultivating presence, creativity, and connection.
By addressing the imbalance often seen in social tango—where leading has historically been reserved for men—Tango Femme provides a space for women to reclaim the lead, not just as a skill, but as a form of self-expression and personal empowerment. Participants will develop technical tools for leading with clarity and sensitivity, while also deepening their understanding of tango’s dialogue and dynamics.
Classes focus on technique, musicality, and connection, while the accompanying guided practice sessions offer the opportunity to explore and integrate what’s learned in a relaxed, supportive environment. The program nurtures mutual respect and solidarity, creating a community where women uplift one another as they redefine what it means to lead.
Whether you're new to tango or an experienced dancer ready to expand your role, Tango Femme invites you to discover your strength, refine your voice, and lead with confidence—on the dance floor and beyond.
