US Tango Foundation Promotes Tango on Captain Miranda Ship

Captain Miranda's Welcome Reception Organized by The Consulate of Uruguay

On June 25, 2024, the US Tango Foundation participated in the welcome reception of the ship Captain Miranda from Uruguay, which arrived at the port of Miami that same day. In tribute to this significant event for Uruguayans, we offered a presentation with a tango show. It was a pleasure to support the Consulate of Uruguay and share a sample of the rich culture of the River Plate.

A Neighborhood Romance by the Biscayne Poet

Short film recorded in Miami,on July, 2024.

Sofi and Loren, representing the US Tango Foundation and advocating for same-role partnerships in tango, proudly participated in A Neighborhood Romance by the Biscayne Poet. This short film tells the story of lovers from the same neighborhood navigating a long-distance relationship, staying connected through passionate typewritten letters. Meanwhile, their lives unfold at a local bar where tango and poetry inspire their bohemian existence.
